Tip #5 How to Get Facebook ‘Likes’ Through Email Lists Upload
You are on Facebook for a reason. As a business owner, it’s not hard to figure out why you are using the social media because you share every business owner’s dream: to get more business– whether you just want to increase awareness of your product, you are launching a new product or branch, you are promoting in-store sales or online sales and so many more, having a Facebook business page is a definite advantage.
Before getting more business though, you have to go through a process first- from getting and building ‘Likes’ for your business page, to driving more traffic to your page, converting that traffic to potential leads until eventually those leads become customers or buyers. First things first, how do you increase your fan base?
There’s a very simple way to do it and that is, through uploading your email list to your Facebook business page. You haven’t realized it but you may already have your basic fan base through your family, friends and existing customers who are more than willing to ‘Like’ your page and thus become your primary fan page promoters. How will you do this? Let me show you the steps.
How to Suggest Your Facebook Fan Page to Your Email Contacts
1. Select the option … which is found on the lower right portion of your fan page banner or cover photo.
2. Click on Suggest Page among the list of options.
This will show up once you click on the Suggest Page option:
3. Upload your contact list by following the steps listed on How to Create a Contact File.
3.1. You can also use the email list you have from other email platforms like Constant Contact, MailChimp, Outlook, etc.
You can suggest your page to email contacts who are already on Facebook as it will appear on their Recommended Pages. However, email contacts who are not on Facebook yet will not be able to see such suggestions so you can try a few more steps to get them to do so.
- One thing you can try is to include a Facebook box on your website or blog by installing plug-ins specific for social media platforms without having them go to the Facebook page itself.
- You can also try giving your customers some sort of discount or freebies if they ‘Like’ your page.
- You can include your Facebook business page URL on your receipts, stickers, coupons or banners and post it at your storefront.
- Request your employees or staff to help you out in your fan page building efforts by sharing, commenting or liking your business page.
- Include your Facebook URL on your other social media accounts like Twitter, LinkedIn, Tumblr, Flickr, YouTube, etc. and include it when you post.
- Run Facebook Ads to augment and help your fan page building effort as long as you have the budget for it.
